Labyrinths, exhibition att Dusty Deco, Stockholm, 2017
Like labyrinths in which shapes change and change directions, Diana’s pieces are created in motion. Materials dance, landscapes emerge, disappear into themselves or liberate themselves from their frames. Bit by bit the image clarifies. A repetitive process where the shape and unity of the components create a precondition for losing control. Discovering new roads and contoures, an act of balance where the hand leads the way. A dwindling exposure where the painting both confirms and deceives the eye. Area by area comes into sight and appears – as a body, as a line, as a portal into hidden rooms.
